Q Each student will prepare a 5-8 page research paper based on an actual interview you conduct with a K-12 teacher. The interview should focus on the teacher's natural philosophy (their values, attitudes, and beliefs) on any topic covered in our class. Any issue is fair game (e.g. intelligence, learning disabilities, full inclusion, motivation, standardized testing etc.). You then prepare a formal paper integrating your interview with material from our class and at least 5 outside primary source references. There are three phases to this requirement; Phase 1. You choose a topic and develop a draft of your interview questions. These questions are presented to the class for discussion and revision. This is worth 25 points. Phase 2. You conduct and transcribe the interview . This is ungraded, but will be reviewed to make sure you have enough detail to relate to research in the field. Phase 3. You prepare a formal research paper integrating your interview with outside research and class information. The outside research should consist of primary source (e.g. journal articles) material, preferably empirical studies. The final paper is worth 125 points.

Educational Psychology is a field that pays attention to all possible factors that can have a direct effect on the education and learning in particular. The child of a K-12 class is often seen to have various complications in his or her education. The teacher responsible for education of the child may also face several challenges because they do not find enough information regarding the different thoughts regarding the welfare of the children. There are multiple factors that affect the successful understanding of the factors that have an influence on the education of those children (Green et al, 2007).
